Laura Lee Anderson

Laura Lee hails from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (aka 'da U.P.') where she could be seen tour jete-ing over the Great Lakes, doing her best Madonna routines at the MCC talent show and belting South Pacific in her living room.

From an early age she knew she had to perform. This lead to studies at Interlochen Academy in Michigan (ballet major), dancing under the likes of Ann Reinking, Ben Vereen and the late Gregory Hines (Broadway Theatre Project) and a B.A. in musical theater with an emphasis in dance from Point Park University. After graduation, she swiftly moved to NYC and started performing. Off-broadway: 1966, Trash Warfare. National Tour:The Will Rogers Follies (Follie's Girl, U/S Z's, alongside Miss Donielle!). Regional: Sweet Charity(lead frug, Gateway Playhouse), Boys From Syracuse (Baltimore Centerstage), My One and Only(dir. by Nikki Harris, chor. by Tommy Tune), Cabaret (Trump Plaza) and many more. Internationally: La Femme Este Morte (Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Best=20 Ensemble 2007).

Laura Lee started teaching dance in her native Michigan at the age of 15 and has continued sharing her love of dance throughout NYC and New Jersey. Her teaching repertoire includes: tap, ballet, jazz, jazzfunk, acrobatics and musical theater-style dance. She is also a classically trained violinist (since age four) and when she grows up she still wants to be Wonderwoman. She is grateful for the opportunity to share all she's learned and bring dancers and their dances to life!
