Designed especially for the spirit of a pre-school student, this class introduces movement elements common to all dance forms. Students are inspired with a joy of learning through a guided discovery of our multi-sensory and high energy activities. (ages 2 - 4)
Combination Class: Ballet, Tap & Jazz
This course introduces the fundamentals of jazz, tap, and ballet to the very young. With music appreciation and character acting, the child's creativity, motor skills, and confidence are developed while having fun. (ages 3 - 5)
Classical Ballet & Pointe
Ballet develops excellent structure, tone, placement, technique, strength, and flexibility of the body. As the foundation of dance, ballet is essential for any student taking lyrical or jazz.
Jazz Arts
This free style of dance involving a full warm-up, stretches, isolations and coordination exercises influenced by the contemporary dances and music of today. Also Included is locomotor movement, progressions, jumps, kicks, turns, as well as combinations.
Contemporary / Lyrical / Modern Dance
The use of balance, flexibility, and control, where dancers interpret the lyrics or moods of the music while demonstrating fluidity and control of movement.
Hip-Hop
Hip Hop is the fusion of breaking, popping, locking , krumping, waving and free style to the latest hip hop tracks. This is a fun and energetic class!
Tap
Tap is a popular dance form for all ages. It is a great source for rhythmic and motor skill development. As an audible dance form, tap is effective in stimulating a natural sense of rhythm and beat.
Musical Theatre
This class combines high-energy dance with acting, singing and expression to create a performer with great stage presence called a �Triple Threat�. Our Broadway-style classes incorporate drama, voice, speech, diction, musicality, improvisations, theatre games, scene study, theatre technical crafts and audition preparation. Some recent performances have been "High School Musical", "Beauty and the Beast", "Cinderella" and "A Little Bit of Broadway".
Jumps, Leaps & Turns
"Jumps, Leaps, & Turns" is for the dancer who wants to improve the technique behind executing strong, clean jumps, leaps, and turns. Warm-ups will be based primarily on ballet components that are the basis of the core strength, timing, and relationship to space that are needed to excel. Modern and jazz elements will be utilized in the center to understand how "grounding" the body frees one to "fly" and move. The dancers' individual challenges will be addressed. Questions are always welcome.
